Monza - 1988
A momentous day. Enzo Ferrari had died since the
last Grand Prix, and the tifosi gathered at their spiritual
home in the wake of his passing.
The Ferraris had had a very poor season, with
terrible reliability, but this afternoon, it all changed,
and with a few laps to go, they were second and third.
Then, Ayrton, with a massive lead and cruising
to his first World Championship, was speared off at the
chicane by a back-marker, and the impossible had happened...
